This commander model 1911 pistol is chambered in the ever popular .45 ACPP and is the realization of John Browning design and dream. This simple, effective and legendary single action system comes standard with a steel machined slide and frame. Along with the obvious durability of steel you also have the excellent recoil management associated with a slightly heavier frame when compared to the alloy frame models. The 1911 design is alive and well in this Commander model from GiRSAN.
Moreover this model specifically is built off of the compact commander sized frame which makes an excellent choice for concealed carry and everyday carry especially as it is paired with the .45 ACP cartridge. The trigger comes in around 3.5 to 4lbs of trigger pull which is nice for a concealed carry model. You will notice that this model features an extended beavertail and an accessory rail that will allow you to mount lights, lasers and all kinds of other rail mounted accessories.
